• Tortuga Bay Salsa Mix


    Almost like a trip to the Caribbean, our Tortuga Bay Salsa Mix is designed to take fruit to the next level.  It combines the tastes of traditional jerk seasoning with rum and mint flavors.   We make this salsa most often with canned pineapple, red peppers and green onions because it tastes great and is really quick to make.  Tortuga Bay Pineapple Salsa is delicious served with tortilla chips (pictured) for salty, sweet, hot, and cooling flavor layers!  Your guests will love this Caribbean appetizer.


    Cracker Spread with Pineapple:  Tortuga Bay Pineapple Salsa is beautiful poured over a brick of cream cheese (pictured) and served with crackers. 

    Relish:  Roast Pork Loin with Tortuga Bay Pineapple Relish (pictured) is amazing; this salsa/relish is also perfect with grilled pork loin or chicken.  This is a great way to reinvent the meat served at dinner parties.

    With Mixed Fruit:  In the summer when fresh fruits are less expensive, we often go to a fruit mix, like a mix of mango, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, but virtually any fruit combination works, so use your favorites!  The Caribbean heat and flavors are beautifully complimented by cool fruit, surprising but delicious in a fruit salad.  For a mixed fruit salsa, we add red peppers and green onions and serve it either with tortilla chips or as a relish for grilled chicken, pork or fish.  Tortuga Bay Mixed Fruit Salad with strawberries, blueberries and honeydew melon is pictured

    With Cranberries:  In the fall and winter, when cranberries are in season, we often use fresh cranberries and green onions with orange marmalade and orange juice or orange liquor (pictured).  It makes a wonderful relish served with pork or turkey, too.  The fusion of Caribbean and New England is delightful and a different taste fusion, so if you're looking for something innovative but delicious, this is just the thing for parties.  It's particularly tasty with wine and seasonal ales.     Tacos:  Take tacos up a notch:  Prepare pork, chicken or fish tacos and use one of the versions of our Tortuga Bay Salsa for inspired flavors.  Great for parties or Family Taco Nights.
