Dinnerware for Every Occasion

Pottery Barn

Pottery Barn does a nice job in both whimsical and traditional dinnerware patterns.  Where Pottery Barn has provided images of dinnerware sets, we have included them to provide an idea of how the pieces work together.  We have also included an image of the dinner plates to the details can be seen too.

The top row features the Silly Stag glazed stoneware dinnerware collection..  The bottom row shows the Santa’s Reindeer collection.  Dinnerware is made of white hand-fired porcelain with hand-applied decals, silver rims and finished with clear glaze.  This pattern is sold in 2 sets of 4.  One set includes Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixin, while the other includes Comet, Cupid, Donner and Bltizen.  Each piece of the collection features one reindeer and its whimsical personality.  If you want the whole reindeer group, you’ll need to buy both sets.  Or you can mix the “Dasher” set of dinnerware with the “Comet” set of salad plates, and so on.  It’s fun for everyone, and guaranteed to be a great conversation starter.

The Nostalgic Santa dinnerware set is featured in the top row above, and the Nostalgic Christmas dinnerware set if featured in the bottom row.  Both are made of stoneware and feature a glazed decal finish.  This is the first year either pattern has been sold in 16 piece sets.  Pieces are still available in sets of  4.

On the left above is the Denver Plaid glazed stoneware dinnerware.  It is sold in sets of 16, or the individual pieces are available in sets of 4.  On the right is a new entry, the gnome pattern of dinnerware.  The plate shown is 7.5” x 8.75””, just right for breakfast, lunch, sandwiches or snacks at any time.  All pieces are made of earthenware with a glazed decal finish and sold individually.  In addition to the items shown, there is also a gnome bowl (holds about 26 ounces).

The pictures above show how Nostalgic Santa, Nostalgic Christmas and Denver Plaid can be mixed/matched to compliment and accent each other.  They’re all made of stoneware with glazed decal finish.  The beautiful possibilities are almost limitless.

Look for this vibrant dinnerware in Pottery Barn stores or online at PB DINNERWARE.

Christmastree Shops and & That! Stores

Christmas Tree Shops and & That stores have a large selection of holiday dinnerware, serveware, drinkware and decorations,, and at prices that are generally considerably lower than most others.  And the quality is usually comparable or superior.  What you’ll see here is a snapshot of what they sell in the stores.  They no longer sell online.  Rather, they are using the website to provide product previews, trends, and ideas.  They have stores in 20 states, and are still growing, so hopefully there’s one near you, or will be soon.  We like them so much we’re keeping them in our Where To Find It sections as long as we can obtain enough information to be useful here.

On the left in the top row are Winter Village ceramic dinner plates.  Also available in this collection are salad or soup bowls, mugs, a serving platter and bowl.  The Winter Woodland dinner plate is in the middle, and the Winter Deer Glitter dinner plate is on the right.  Winter Deer salad plates and bowls are also available.  Everything in the bottom row is in the Snowflurry pattern..  On the left is the Snowflurry charger plate.  The dinner plate is in the middle, and samples from the 12 piece flatware set are on the right.  Salad plates, bowls, an oval serving platter and wine glasses are also available in the pattern.  The white patterned dinnerware here items are all really beautiful patterns, and the photos do not do them justice.

Find these holiday dinnerware items in Christmastree Shops and & That! Stores, or check out the website at CTS DINNER to see what they look like.

Oriental Trading Company

Oriental Trading Company has an amazing array of party supplies.  They started out using catalogs to sell to teachers, expanded to corporate sales and now sell to everyone online.  They specialize in disposable party supplies, but in recent years have added items that are intended to be kept.  Their pricing is typically somewhere between competitive and quite low, although sometimes the prices are so low because they are selling items by the dozen (we’ll note the number of units for the price for each item if there is more than one pictured).

The nativity disposable dinnerware on the top left is a pattern we haven’t seen anywhere else.  The Christmas tree shaped plates on the right are dinner size (12” x 11.75”), made of plastic and sold in sets of 8 pieces.  The disposable dinnerware in the middle and bottom row provide an example of the diversity OTC offers beyond Santa, snowmen and lain colored dinnerware.  For these and many more disposable dinnerware patterns, go online to OTC DINNER.
