Drinkware Christmas 2018
Drinkware for Every Need
ArteeVita
This is the Esty.com store for Karen Sabatello’s Arte & Vita (Art & Life) business. Karen is a self taught artist who has been enthralled by decorative painting since childhood. She says that giving something old new life gives them even more character. She’s been painting for over 25 years, focusing on topics that reflect her interests and passions. Her hand painted wine glasses are among the most beautiful we have seen. She is also happy to personalize her art.
On the left above is Karen’s matched set of four original Poinsettia wine glasses. The poinsettias are accented with a raised gold embellishment. In the middle is a large (16 ounce) wine glass that will charm any snowman lover. Holly berries with a spray of snow are painted on the pair of glasses on the right. Raised gold accents add a lovely touch on these glasses too.
The glasses are hand painted with a thermos-hardened paint that, once set, is dishwasher and microwave safe. Glasses are usually ready to ship in 3-5 business days from Karen’s studio in New Jersey.. Find these and more beautiful seasonal wine glasses at ARTEEVITA.
Crate & Barrel
Crate & Barrel’s cup collection for the holidays is playful this year. The “Oh deer” printed on the mug on the left is a cute play on words. The Holidays Critters cups in the middle feature adorable interpretations of familiar “winter” animals, while the cup on the right encourages to express your “elf” and at the same time is a play on “express yourself.” All are perfect for a hot cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or cider.
Candy canes enhance glasses in two sizes on the left above. The wine glass in the center sports a red snow flake, and the coupe cocktail glass on the right is even more beautiful because of the hand etched stars. You’re covered no matter whether you need drinkware for the most casual or elegant event.
See these and more drinkware in Crate & Barrel stores or online at CB DRINK.
Glasses by JoAnne
Glasses by JoAnne is the Esty store for JoAnne Battista. Although JoAnne has always been an artist and spent thirty years being an Interior Designer, once she discovered painting on wine glasses, she was hooked. It combines three of here favorite things: love of wine, decorating and painting. She always enjoyed decorating for parties, and there’s a theme party in every glass she paints.
The glasses in the top row on the left feature a snowman couple (girl snowman is on the left) with blue “clothing”. The pair in the middle features red “clothing.” Snow areas are highlighted with fine glitter for a shimmery effect. Glasses are also available with green “clothing.” The glass bases feature color coordinated mittens. On the right is a glass set with a snowman and Santa. The snow areas are highlighted with fine glitter, as are the bases.
The center row features glasses with two versions of poinsettias on the left (white with gold accent and red with gold accent) with coordinating bases. Glasses in the middle feature a wintry pine branch with red berries circling the glass. Bases are painted white with fine glitter to look like snow. The glasses on the far right are painted with a snow scene in the mountains. These are 19 oz. capacity glasses and are sold only as a set.
In the bottom row reindeer run around the glass over glittery snow. Reindeer on the left are white, and on the right are gold. Glittery white, full Christmas trees spread their branches around the glasses on the right. All bases are painted white with fine glitter to look like snow. All three patterns are on large 19.5 oz. capacity glasses. Most glasses are offered in sets of 2 or 4, but JoAnne is happy to consider other set sizes, and in some cases, will mix/match.
JoAnne uses all purpose tulip shaped wine glasses with a fine rim and pulled stem. She is happy to customize and typically ships in 3-5 business days from her Pennsylvania studio. For these and more seasonal glasses, see JOANNE DRINK.
Mud Pie
Mud Pie, based out of Stone Mountain, GA, is a “lifestyle brand that creates gifts to inspire all of life’s sparkling moments.” The company began life in 1998 as the inspiration of Marcia Miller, with three employees and a one page catalog printed at a local photo store. Today, Marcia is the CEO of Mud Pie, which now has 160 employees and 750 catalog pages, each with professionally photographed images of the award-winning apparel, gifts and home décor they design and manufacture. Mud Pie is rightfully famous for the wit and whimsy of their ceramic serveware, They carry that through their entire tableware product line. While they are a manufacturer and their products can be found in many retail stores (including Swoozie’s), they also sell their products through their website.
These cups and wine glass are perfect examples of Mud Pie’s use of humor. Two great puns and a statement that just sums up the busy days around holidays. Each one makes you laugh out loud. Find these and more holiday drinkware online at MP DRINK.
Karen’s Glass Design
Karen Perez is the artist behind Karen’s Glass Design, her shop on Esty.com. She’s been painting glass for about 15 years. She was inspired to begin when she saw a pitcher she loved, but couldn’t afford. She is one of the few painted glass artists that includes coffee cups, sugar, creamer and butter dishes in addition to wine and martini glasses.
The two sets of four above are examples of Karen’s mix/match offerings. On the left are 11 ounce hand painted fun and festive wine glasses (no two are alike), On the right Karen mixes wine glasses and coffee cups with holly and candy canes.
The snowmen are adorable whether they’re on wine glasses or coffee mugs. They are shown here in sets of four to show the colors available. The wine glasses are sold in sets of two and four, but the coffee mugs are sold individually.
Ice skating is the theme for the wine glasses above. The penguins on the left are skating, while the glasses on the right feature ice skates. The penguin pattern is also available on coffee mugs.
Although the items above aren’t drinkware, they are the kind of hard-to-find items that can really dress up holiday party tables. The cardinal pattern is also available for wine glasses and coffee mugs. The Christmas lights pattern is available for both, plus martini glasses. Besides the butter dish and wine glasses, the holly pattern is available for coffee mugs.
Karen is happy to personalize most any of her hand painted drinkware. There is no extra charge, and orders usually ship in 1-3 business days from her Lockport, IL studio. She also welcomes custom orders, and usually will respond to requests within 24 hours. See these items and more of her delightful hand painted holiday drinkware on line at KGD DRINK.

Santa is an ever popular focus for wine bottle stoppers, as evidenced by three different depictions in the rows above. The Village bottle stopper on the left is hand crafted, unusual and lovely. The glass tree with bells on the right is hand crafted and the style is uncommon.
The wine charms on the left are casual and fun, while the Plaid Tidings charms on the right have a more elegant appearance, but the sayings on the charms keep them fun too.
Just in case the designs of the sweater bottle covers above weren’t already delightful enough, these also light up for even more fun.
