Brown sugar, apple, rum and raisin flavors in a mousse.  It’s so easy to make using the new electric ice cream freezers.  Just follow manufacturer directions and the recipe on our web site.  We add raisins to our Apple Rum Raisin ice cream at the soft serve stage to reinforce the raisin flavor.  To serve it, we drizzle it with caramel sundae sauce (pictured).  Freeze it and use it as a filling to stuff oatmeal raisin cookies for an "ice cream" sandwich.

Cannoli Filling:  Use the mousse for Apple Rum Raisin Cannoli (pictured) – not the traditional filling, but just amazing.  TIP:   See the READY MADE page for where to purchase ready-to-use cream puff or cannoli shells and crepés.

Bread Pudding flavoring:  Use to flavor Apple Rum Raisin Bread Pudding.  Add extra raisins for texture, and top with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream, slightly melted (pictured).  Finish by drizzling with caramel sundae topping.  Kick that up by adding a bit of rum to the caramel sauce and warming before drizzling for a dessert that will please even the most sophisticated gourmet.

Easiest:  Dollop mousse on a slice of spice cake instead of frosting, or use it as frosting (birthday cake pictured) - YUM!  Use it as a dessert dip for cookies or apple slices if you’re having quite a crowd and are short on time.

For breakfast or late night:  Take breakfast to a whole new level.  Use Apple Rum Raisin Mousse to top waffles, French toast or pancakes instead of plain whipped cream.  Use it for Apple Rum Raisin dip with French toast sticks (pictured) or bites, whether you serve them at brunch or for a late night dessert.  There won’t be a bite left.

Casual or Elegant:  Serve mousse in mini martini or margarita glasses and garnish with cookie crumbs (pictured).  They’re enticing and all but guilt free - the perfect party desserts.  To follow a light meal, pile mousse in a martini glass & top with a dollop of whipped cream.  Or garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a slice of apple (pictured).

See RECIPES for directions for bread pudding and ice cream.
