This seasonal version of Habanero Salsa uses crisp apples, Craisins® & raisins with caramel sundae sauce and apple wine, ale or cider. Whatever version of the caramel apple salsa you choose, consider kicking it up another notch by serving it with cheese. We like it with sliced sharp cheddar on crackers, or drizzled over blue brie (pictured) when we use pumpkin ale instead of apple. Both cheese combinations are absolutely amazing. Either will make this a Halloween appetizer to remember.
It's delicious with just tortilla chips (pictured) and the beverage of your choice. Either way, it’s a great way to show off your culinary imagination with your Halloween menu.
TIP: If you mix the salsa with apple ale, also offer the same apple ale for drinking. Follow this principle for whatever liquid you mix into the salsa. But don’t hesitate to offer other beverages too; the mix/match just makes the differences interesting.
