All American flavor fusion from the NE & SW, the sweetness is from maple and heat from chipotle chilis.  Shown made with mayo and sour cream.  The sweet, smoky, spicy flavor in perfect for Christmas appetizers.  The dip is delicious with chips (pictured), and even better with fries, especially sweet potato fries.  It provides the perfect, slightly spicy profile that works so well with seasonal ales.


Rub for Meat, Chicken & Fish:  Brush oil on meat.  Sprinkle mix liberally and massage in if desired.  Roast, bake, grill, fry or sautè as usual.   Roasted Rio Grande Pork Loin is a popular main dish for Christmas dinner parties.  These flavors also nicely compliment salmon, baked or grilled.

Glaze for Meat & Chicken:  The prepared dip forms a delicate glaze on as it heats.  For baking, spread dip on top of meat and bake as usual.  For grilling, turn meat only once; spread dip on top of meat for last half of grilling.

Vegetarian Dips:  Season any mashed vegetable and turn it into a vegetarian dip.  Rio Grande Yam Dip is pictured served with spicy flavored baked pita chips.  Also pictured is Rio Grande Refried Black Bean Dip.  So good only your vegetarian friends will realize it’s vegetarian.  TIP:  For a "no/low sodium" pita dipper, bake your own (slice pita chips, coat lightly with cooking spray, sprinkle with granulated garlic); bake about 10 minutes at 350°.

Veggie Sides:  This flavor fusion is great for seasoning vegetables, and particularly good with mashed yams or sweet potatoes (pictured).  Sprinkle mix on veggies before cooking.  Roasted Rio Grande Yams are a great change up for any meal.

Spiced Ketchup for Adults:  Combine mix with 2 cups of ketchup.   Use Rio Grande spiced ketchup just like you would regular ketchup or BBQ sauce.  Kick up hamburgers and take frozen appetizers and snacks to a whole new level with this lively spiced ketchup dipping sauce.  Also great with sweet potato fries (pictured), popcorn shrimp, chicken fingers (pictured), chicken fries and most anything fried.

Meat Glaze:  Add a bit of beer or wine to thin the prepared ketchup to use as a glaze for Rio Grande Glazed Meatballs (pictured).  Make a lot for your party, these are real guy favorites! 

Cocktail Sauce:  Add a bit of lime juice or wine to thin the prepared ketchup for use as a sauce for shrimp cocktail.  The southwestern flavor profile really brings out the sweetness of the shrimp.  Rio Grande Shrimp Cocktail pictured.  This could easily become the signature dish for all your parties.

Vinaigrette Seasoning:  It's just amazing as seasoning for vinaigrette or salad dressings (pictured as vinaigrette dressing for pasta salad).   This makes a nice dinner salad or side dish for your buffet.  See RECIPES for vinaigrette directions.

Marinade & Dipping Sauce:  Use the vinaigrette as a marinade or dipping sauce.  It’s used both ways in Rio Grande Shrimp & Melon Canapés (pictured).  This appetizer is as delicious as any you’ll fine in a 5 star restaurant, but surprisingly quick and easy.
