Traditionally, chocolate mousse is flavored with orange liquor. Our Orange Chocolate Mousse is luxurious, with just a subtle taste of orange liquor. Served in adorable little "tuxedo" chocolate shells, it's sumptuous enough to finish even the most sophisticated New Year’s Eve dinner party. Add a bit of elegance by serving with champagne (pictured), or reinforce the chocolate flavor by serving with chocolate liquor or wine (pictured).
Just the right ending for any holiday party served in a cordial glass, topped simply with a dollop of whipped cream, garnished with chocolate pearls (pictured).
Cannolis, the traditional crisp Italian pastries with a filling typically made with ricotta cheese, make a lovely "container" for this luscious mousse. Mini cannoli shells are pictured filled with mousse, drizzled with chocolate syrup and with chopped candied orange pieces dotting the open ends. This is a very traditional serving style for this most untraditional flavor fusion. Serving this preparation will definitely set you apart as a party host! TIP: Make this easy entertaining by using prepared regular or mini size cannoli shells. They can be purchased online and at some grocery stores, including Wegmans.
Start to putting it in the fridge to chill, it takes about 8 minutes to make this mousse; but your New Year’s guests will never think about how quick and easy it was; they will be too busy complimenting you on its great taste.
